Delta Air Lines baggage policy depends on your ticket class, departure city, destination, and other factors. It can be a bit difficult to understand.
Additional baggage fees depend on several complicated factors, including size, weight, and where you’re flying from.
Active military personnel are entitled to special baggage exceptions.
Don’t worry, if you book your business class flight with us, we’ll make sure you have all the information you need!
Let’s start with the basics.
Carry-on Items Allowance
Carry-on item allowances apply to all Delta flight classes.
Note: Your free bag allowance may be different if you’re flying on a Delta partner airline for any part of your journey.

In addition, you can carry:

Please consult the TSA website for information about what you may or may not pack in your carry-on items and checked bags.

You may carry one of the following items as your personal item or carry-on bag:
- Booster seat or other infant seat
- Bassinet
- Breast pump and associated cooler bag
As long as they are checked, children’s strollers and seat restraints are not counted as part of the standard baggage allowance and are free.
Child restraint seats (car or booster seats) may be brought on board if there is an open passenger seat in your row. If no empty passenger seat is available, the car seat must be checked at the gate by a Delta representative.
Please be aware that if you are bringing your baby’s bassinet or infant seat as carry-on baggage, it must be secured tightly by a seatbelt to be stored on an aircraft seat. The item must also meet carry-on size restrictions.
